This is a porcelain tribute to breast cancer fighters, and the choices they face.
In the growing awareness of breast cancer, a disease which appears more and more to be an inevitable side effect of womanhood (though males can also develop it), this doll was my attempt to work through my own personal fear of breast cancer. It is a personal statement on facing up to the possibility that one day I could be amongst the hundreds of thousands of women who develop this brutally unfair disease.
I can only hope to be as brave as those who have had to face it.
